Dispelling the myths behind Semi-Permanent Make-Up

Q: I’m a little concerned about the pigments that are used. What are they made of?
A: Pigment blends are used from an entire spectrum of colours that are made up from totally safe base ingredients that can be reliably traced back to the source.

Q: Can only dark colours be applied? And does it have a blue-like tone?!
A: Semi-permanent make-up used to only be limited to darker colours, but it has never looked like blue tattoo ink! Now the colours and shades available are much wider, which means the treatments can be suitable for any skin tone.

Q: Will the symmetry of my face still be in proportion?
A: Skilled therapists will assess your face shape and needs. The make-up is then initially sketched onto the face before any pigments are applied so you’re completely happy with its placement.

Q: I’ve heard that the effects will last forever. Is this true?
A: The majority of results last for around two years, with a top-up required after each year. It’s not as deep as tattooing, so it doesn’t last as long.

Q: I’m scared it will hurt! Is the pain similar to tattooing?
A: There is no need to worry as there’s minimal pain - less than half experienced by tattooing! Anaesthetic cream is applied before and after the treatment, which vastly minimises any discomfort during application, and completely rids any soreness once the application is finished.  

Q: What will I look like immediately afterwards?
A: Fabulous of course! The treated area will look marginally darker for up to four days, but this isn’t very noticeable. The end result will be natural looking and highly rejuvenating.

Q: Can semi-permanent make-up help my alopecia?
A: Your eye-brows and eye-lashes help shape your eyes. So as you’re experiencing hair loss, you can re-define your eyes through eye-brow and eyeliner treatments. Both would work very well and give you a real confidence boost.

Q: I’m really busy these days. Will the treatment take very long?
A: Not at all! It’s appreciated that some people lead very busy lives, and are often on a tight schedule. Therefore, treatments take around 30 minutes, so you’ll be out in no time.
