Key Staff

Park Clinic's key staff

Dr Sue Holdstock

Medical Director

Dr Holdstock Sue qualified from medicine in 1988 from Nottingham University.  After various hospital posts and 12 months in Australia (where she was very diligent about applying high factor sunscreen) she decided to pursue a career in general practice.

After many years battling against the odds in the frontline of medicine, Sue decided that her true vocation lay in making the world a more beautiful place. To this end she became one the UK’s first, fulltime cosmetic doctors.

During the last seven years, dedicated to cosmetic medicine, Sue has become expert in assessing and treating patients, and helping them to achieve their cosmetic goals.

The enlarged clinic is a natural progression for Sue and she is delighted to have more tools at her disposal to help treat patients.

Sue will be responsible for leading the clinical practice of the clinic and determining which therapies and technologies Park Clinic should be offering.

She will also be looking to find the secret of eternal youth – which when she discovers it she will, apparently, be keeping to herself so she can feel very smug as we all age non too gracefully beside her.

Helen Haynes

General Manager

Helen Haynes Helen originally qualified in nursing and worked in hospitals for nearly 20 years.  During which time she rose to senior positions in nursing management.

She left the NHS in the mid nineties to apply her management skills in a more commercial environment.  She joined the then fledgling IT service company ClinPhone Plc (working for Neil Rotherham) and was part of the team that grew business from employing a handful of people, in Nottingham, to having a staff of 600 and offices around the world.

When she left in 2006 she had risen to become Human Resources Director and oversaw a company culture and organisation that received many accolades, including Investors in People and being one of the Sunday Times’ top 100 companies to work for.

Despite feeling Neil was somewhat tedious, and a bore, she has decided to join the Park Clinic team, as the opportunity to provide a first class facility for patients in an exciting and developing market was too good to turn down.  Her decision had nothing to do with getting discounted Botox and Microdermabrasion.

Karen Barlow

Senior Technical Therapist

Karen Barlow Karen is trained in Beauty Therapy and has been working in the industry for seven years.  She was never satisfied with simple salon based work and progressed to working in a Private Hospital, alongside medically qualified personnel from whom she could learn more complex and involved procedures.

She latterly spent two years working with a dermatologist in a leading clinic in Manchester, where she became skilled in assisting in dermatological procedures and enhanced her own skills in using lasers and other aesthetic equipment.

Karen is expert in assessing skin types and needs, and is able to expertly determine which products will suit which skin type or problem.

Jenny Walker

Aesthetic Nurse

Jenny WalkerIt was no surprise to the family when Jenny, a naturally gentle and caring girl choose a career in Nursing!  Having gained her degree in nursing, specialising in midwifery, Jenny realised she could no longer ‘deny’ her inner passion for skin care, and although a woman always likes to look her best, Jenny’s free advice on controlling open pores and the importance of exfoliation were not always best received in between contractions.

It was time for a change!

Packing up her moisturiser and skin replenishing mask Jenny set off into the great unknown of the aesthetic and cosmetic world.

Jenny is now a fully fledged aesthetic nurse, undertaking advanced technical procedures in the clinic. Working closely with the medical director, Jenny also leads the Park Clinic Skin Rejuvenation Programmes, designing and delivering unique programmes of care to all our patients.

Jenny strongly believes in the importance of patient education and lives and breathes in the clinic’s ethos that ‘prevention is better than cure - you’re never to young to start or too old to begin’.

Jenny says “I especially love the patient contact, and being from a strong professional/medical background it is important to me to have a role in a clinic that achieves excellence in respect of service and patient care”.

Jenny’s thirst for knowledge is undiminished and her next professional adventure is embarking on Dermatology degree course.
