Veins on Face and Legs

The appearance of fine pink and purple veins on the face is a frequent problem as skin ages.  There are a variety of causes of these, but mainly they simply part of the aging process of the skin.  

Small facial veins are particularly suitable for laser treatment.  Usual 1 or 2 treatments are sufficient to remove or significantly reduce such veins.

Leg veins can similarly be treated with lasers, however larger veins may need to be treated with “injected schlerotherapy”.  If this the case the doctor will use a fine needle to inject a chemical into the vein that makes it shrink and disappear or diminish.
